- 1 / 5By Nick PerryWent here for the only meal out of our holiday. The food is bland, dry and not very pleasant but by far the worst part is the staff. They are inattentive/uninterested when you try to catch their eye they pretend not to see you and concentrate on continuing their social chats with other staff and friends passing by. We were not asked: if we wanted to order sides, if the food was ok?, if we wanted another drink, If we wanted desert or even if we wanted to pay the bill. When my wife walked up to the bar in desperation to order some drinks she was met with a "What?" from the guy behind the bar (not impressive). The staff appear to have no training and we're not being managed or guided in any way. As a result this place is clearly only making a fraction of its potential earnings. Eventually I asked to pay at the bar as no member of staff approach the table and they just took the payment without comment. Basically do yourself a favour and pop up to the Thatch, they're welcoming and know how to treat customers.July 05, 2016
